Home > Formation Stages > Postulancy

On admission to our congregation the candidate must complete the postulancy as an initial probation period and preparation for the novitiate. As a rule the postulancy lasts one year; yet for well grounded reasons it may be extended up to two years. The right of admission to the postulancy belongs to the major superior. A young Catholic lady, who is guided by the intention of dedicating herself to serve Christ, meets the requirements of enjoying good physical and mental health, is of suitable character and sufficient maturity for understanding the duties of our congregation, may be admitted to the postulate.
